At my 13 week appointment, my doctor did a nuchal translucency test to find out if the baby is at risk for any genetic disorders. We received word that everything came back normal! Obviously this is great news, but it's even better because if we would have gotten abnormal results back, Russ and I were gonna have to do some thinking about if we wanted to do an amniocentesis or other 2nd trimester tests. So we're in the clear!
Russ also found out a couple weeks ago that he will be working in my school district next year! This is amazing news, because it puts him closer to home, in a nicer district, and we'll have the same schedule/holidays off! We're very excited he got this job; he will still be teaching elementary school, just not sure of the grade level or subject yet.
As we've been creeping closer and closer to finding out what Baby Cammann is, we've been narrowing down boy and girl names, and getting ideas on how we want the baby's room decorated. When we find out what we're having, we'd like to not only let everyone know of the gender, but also announce the name. I've been given advice to wait till the baby is here and decide the name...but I just don't think I can! We'd like to embroider/engrave some things, as well as use the baby's name somewhere in the room decorations.
